iBAS : 01 / hi bernie, how are you ?
||| Foureyes : I’m very excited to have the opportunity to share my thinking with you,...thank you so much. 02 / can you give me in some sentences a little description of yourself and your life ? ||| Photography is a source of inspiration for my Architectural projects, it lets me play with the perception of the outside world, ...it's structures, forms, colors, .........illusions and cliches ! I’m an Architect,…I design and build nightclubs and Restaurants,… my studio is in Houston, you can see my work here. “the most subtle and complex feelings” 03 / do you feel your photographies as a mirror to your personnality, do you try to make feelings coming out from your work or do you just try to do something beautiful ? ||| Lately I've become interested in the abstract feelings produced by colors, I believe that color is a medium which can convey the most subtle and complex feelings, and can give the viewer a sense of a particular place and time that goes beyond the visual expression of that place. 04 / you have wonderful works in your gallery on DA, that's undeniable, but if you have to make a top3, what could it be and why ? ||| ‘Starfish’, ’the smell of salt air’, ’sleep in the sand’ the ocean and the sky hold a sense of wonder, The creative power of God inspires awe. I'm filled with reverent wonder as I contemplate it. 05 / you have a solid reputation on DA due to your work, does it give to you a little pressure before posting a new work or you really don't care about that thing? ||| Not really,…..I visit DA to learn and get inspiration from so many talented artists. “i love the colors used by the painter Maxfield Parrish” 06 / have you got influences and if so who or what can give you inspiration ? ||| I love the colors used by the painter Maxfield Parrish back in the early 1900’s.

©foureyes 07 / i saw many pictures of sunset in your gallery, where is this taste of paradise that you shoot with so many talent ? ||| Most of the ocean-sky-scapes have been captured at the Bolivar peninsula in Texas,…is a place of amazing beauty. “they contain no more or no less truth than a painting or a written work of fiction” 08 / are you a purist in photography, i would say, do you accept the way people can modify tones or contrast on a photography with photoshop or do you prefer the perfect photography made by the camera technic only ? can you talk to us about your camera(s) and your skills for making these unbelievable photographies? ||| I see Photographs as very real,........ they are of course nothing of the sort. They contain no more or no less truth than a painting or a written work of fiction…… At their most simplistic they are a fantasy,…..most of the time I maximize the colors in photoshop,…and by cropping, I find the most interesting part of the image,….the one that contains the essence. 09 / do you have any other interests in art than photography (music, illustration, etc) ? ||| Multimedia,…..I’ve done some video productions, is a very rich medium, it combines : images, music,….and motion !!!...very exciting stuff. 10 / can you let us know about a typical day for you ? ||| During a typical day :I the morning I work on my designs in my studio,…..in the afternoon go to the construction sites and at night,…..relax doing some photography work in my computer as well as being on line viewing art and photography. 11 / when did your love for photography came ? ||| Back when I was in college. 12 / for your photographies process, does it start in your head with ideas and plans or is it just a feeling when you have the landscape in front of you to shoot? ||| Most of the times they start on paper as a concept,…..then I look for the location to photograph the image and produce it. |

13 / do you have another website you visit as long as DA on a day, in clear, where do you hang around on the net?
||| I recently joined photosig i which is a more traditional photography site. “i find a lot of substance in the music of Bob Dylan” 14 / what is the song that can definitely define yourself ? ||| I find a lot of substance in the music of Bob Dylan….’Blowin’ in the wind’. 15 / inversion time, do you have a question for yourself ? ||| I often question my direction as it relates to the present,…..I believe that when art makes a statement about the times,….the work becomes ‘timeless’. 
©foureyes 16 / do you have any plans or evolution ideas for the future to come on your work ? ||| Lately I’ve become very interested in conceptual photography,…..at the moment I’m working on several concepts relating to light. The painter 'Carel Willink' developed the style 'het magisch realisme' ( tranlation: magic realism). The way he used lighting did not follow the conventional rules. The lighting designer for the movie Gladiator used some of the same concepts. “find your passion in life” do you have any advice for everyone reading this interview ? ||| Find your passion in life,…….find what you love to do and you are not going to have to work another day in your life !!!!!!!!
